Refunds And Amendments On Tickets For Travel
If you change your mind or events prevent you from using your ticket for travel with SAR, then you may be entitled to a full or partial refund.

Economy & Business Class
Modifications
If you have a Business or Economy Class ticket for travel, and you wish to change it to travel on a different day or at a different time, downgrade your booking class (from Business to Economy) or change your departure or arrival station, you can make amendments online, on our app or at the ticket office at any SAR station with the following charges applied:
Modification Fees
- Up to 7 days prior to departure
- Free
- 7 days to 24 hours prior to departure
- 10% of ticket fee charged
- 24 hours to 2 hours prior to departure
- 20% of ticket fee charged
- 2 hours to 1 hour prior to departure
- 50% of ticket fee charged
- Less than 1 hour prior to departure
- No changes permitted (100% of ticket fee charged)
When changes are made to advance tickets (purchased online or on app) at the station, the updated ticket will be sold at the Anytime (highest available) ticket price.
Changes to seat number (within the same class of travel) can be made online, on our app or by calling 8001262000 or at the ticket office at any SAR station with no fees applied up until 30 minutes prior to the train departure.
Changes to passenger names* on tickets can be made at the ticket office at any SAR station without fees until 30 minutes before the train departure time.
*All passenger names must be identical to the ID used within the booking process.

If you change your mind and you wish to cancel your Business or Economy Class ticket, you can do so online, on our mobile app, at the ticket office at any SAR station, or by calling 8001262000 with the following charges applied:

- 50%of ticket fee charged
- Less than 24 hours to departure
- 100%of ticket fee charged (No refunds permitted)

Private Cabin
Modifications
If you have a Private Cabin booking on one of our SAR North Night Train services, and you wish to change it to travel on a different day you can make an amendment at the ticket office at any SAR station with the following charges applied:
Modification Fees
- Up to 7 days prior to departure
- Free
- 7 days to 24 hours prior to departure
- 10% of cabin fee charged
- 24 hours to 4 hours prior to departure
- 20% of cabin fee charged
- 4 hours to 2 hour prior to departure
- 50% of cabin fee charged
- Less than 2 hour prior to departure
- No changes permitted (100% of cabin fee charged)
Changes to the travel date for Private Cabins apply to the cabin (up to 4 passengers), and not to individual passengers.
No changes are permitted between travel classes for Private Cabin bookings.
Changes to passenger names* on tickets can be made at the ticket office at any SAR station without fees until 30 minutes before the train departure time.
Changes to bed numbers (within the same cabin), changes to the cabin number, and adding** or removing passengers from the cabin can be made by calling 8001262000 or at the ticket office at any SAR station with no fees applied up until 2 hours prior to the train departure from its origin station (Riyadh or Qurayyat).
*All passenger names must be identical to the ID used within the booking process.
**Maximum four passengers per Private Cabin inclusive of children and infants.

If you change your mind and you wish to cancel your Private Cabin booking on one of our Night Train services, you can do so at the ticket office at any SAR station or by calling 8001262000 with the following charges applied:

- Less than 24 hours to departure

Cancellations to individual passengers within your Private Cabin can be made by calling 8001262000 or at the ticket office at any SAR station with no fees applied up until 2 hours prior to the train departure from its origin station (Riyadh or Qurayyat).
Cancellations & Modifications
Roundtrip Tickets
If you have a roundtrip ticket and wish to make an amendment or cancellation to one leg of your journey, the modification and cancellation charges will only apply to the leg of your journey that is being modified or cancelled.
If both legs of a roundtrip are modified or cancelled then the modification and cancellation charges will apply to each individual leg of your return ticket.

Refund Payment Method
When making a refund we will use the original form of payment you used.
If you used a credit or debit card to buy your ticket, we will ask your card issuer to make the refund. The card issuer will refund you the appropriate amount under the terms of the card agreement. Please note your refund may not show on your card statement immediately, and can take up to 28 days.
Cash transactions will be refunded in cash, however if you paid with cash and your refunded amount included Halalas you will be refunded via bank transfer. If you paid in cash in the station and you cancel your booking online you will also be refunded via bank transfer.
If you paid for your ticket through credit or debit card in the station we will refund you via bank transfer.
Please note all refunds paid via bank transfer can take up to 28 days to be processed.
