Our services
SAR offers a range of passenger and freight train services across Saudi Arabia
Passenger trains
SAR operates passenger trains between Riyadh and Qurayyat on the North Train line, between Riyadh and Dammam on the East Train line and between Makkah and Madinah on the Haramain High Speed Rail line. SAR is also the operator of the Al Mashaaer Metro in Makkah.
Car Cargo
On SAR’s North Train line, customers can transport their vehicles by train between Riyadh and Qurayyat or vice versa. Customers can transport their car on its own, or they can ship their car and travel with it on the same train service.
Parcel shipments
On SAR’s North & East Train lines, SAR offers non-travelling passengers a fast, secure and affordable parcel shipment service by train. Customers can ship both large and small parcels (up to 60kg) between all stations on the North & East lines, with express same day delivery available.

Buying tickets
All SAR trains are fully reservable, meaning that you need to buy a ticket before you board the train. As such, we make it as easy as we can for you to buy tickets for your journey via a number of different channels.
Cancellations & Modifications
If you change your mind or events prevent you from using your ticket for travel with SAR, then you may be entitled to a full or partial refund depending on the ticket type you have.
